This week, we painted itty bitty pumpkins!
While the kids painted, I explained to them why we can have pumpkins only in Autumn, and we talked about harvesting and farming. Then I read the Autumn section of one of our books about seasons. We also had some fun lessons about mixing colors. Mostly, though, we just had a really good time! I love fall! The kids asked if we could paint pumpkins every year, and I think this will be a great family tradition! When they are completely done (IW wants to decorate his with markers when it dries), they will adorn our mantle for the season!
